Assign Employees to specific Shifts for several reasons, such as following an Employee request regarding the Shifts, or assigning a competent Employee to an important Shift, and so on.
Note: Assigning an Employee to a specific Shift in the Schedule, applies only to the Schedule being configured.
Assign Employees in the following manners:
- Standard Procedure
- Smart Manual Assignment
- Right-Clicking
Standard Procedure
To assign Employees to a Shift by Standard Procedure:
Drag-down an Employee from the Employee List to the relevant Shift.
Smart Manual Assignment
To assign Employees to a Shift by Smart Manual Assignment:
Select the Guidance tab in the Schedule window.
The Guidance tab is highlighted.

Select the required Shift in the Schedule.
The following details appear next to Employees names in the Employees List, indicating Employee compatibility to the Shift:
A Colored Box. Each color signifies a varying degree of Employee compatibility to the Shift according to the configured Rules:
A Black box signifies that the Employee cannot be assigned to the Shift.
A Red box signifies that the Employee must not be assigned to the Shift.
A Yellow box signifies that it is preferable not to assign the Employee to the Shift.
A Green box signifies that the Employee can be assigned to the Shift.
NOTE: Rules can be modified to enable a previously unsuitable Employee to be assigned to a Shift (to modify Rules, see Relaxing Rules).
Colored Lines. Each color signifies a varying degree of Employee compatibility to the Shift according to Employees Requests:
A Red line signifies that the Employee cannot be assigned to the Shift, according to the Employee Request.
A Yellow line signifies that the Employee has denoted that it is preferable not to be assigned to the Shift.
A Green line signifies that the Employee can be assigned to the Shift.

Drag-down and drop an Employee from the Employee List in the Schedule window, into the required Shift.
The Employee is assigned to the Shift.

Right-Clicking
To assign Employees to a Shift by Right-Clicking:
Select the required Shift in the Schedule.
Right-click.
The Shortcut menu opens.

Select Assign Specific Employee from the Shortcut menu.

The Employees List opens, Colored Boxes on the side of the Employees names.

Select an Employee from the Employees List.
The selected Employee appears in the Shift.
