Configuring Employment Classification

To Configure Employment Classification:

  1. Select the Employees Settings field in the Welcome tree of the Main window.

  2. Select the Employment Classification field.

  3. Select the Add New value in the Job Percentage window.

  4. In the Job Name field, enter the Job Name definition, such as full-time, part-time and so on.

  5. In the Job Percentage field, enter the Job Percentage, between the values 1-100.

  6. In the Allowed Overtime field, select the amount of Overtime hours allowed.

  7. Select the Maximum Shifts allowed for Employees per Schedule:

  1. Scroll down the Job Percentage window to the Maximum Shifts per Schedule field.

  2. Select the arrow in the Maximum Shifts per Schedule field.

  3. Select the required Maximum Shifts per Schedule value from the Maximum Shifts per Schedule dropdown menu.

    The Maximum Shifts per Schedule dropdown menu closes, and the selected Maximum Shifts per Schedule appears in the Maximum Shifts per Schedule field.

8. Select the Minimum Shifts allowed for Employees per Schedule:

  Scroll down the Job Percentage window to the Minimum Shifts per Schedule field.

  1. Select the arrow in the Minimum Shifts per Schedule field.

  2. Select the required Minimum Shifts per Schedule value from the Minimum Shifts per Schedule dropdown menu.

    The Minimum Shifts per Schedule dropdown menu closes, and the selected Minimum Shifts per Schedule appears in the Minimum Shifts per Schedule field.

9. Select the Preferred Number of Shifts per Schedule:
  1. Scroll down the Job Percentage window to the Preferred Number of Shifts per Schedule field.

  2. Select the arrow in the Preferred Number of Shifts per Schedule field.

  3. Select the required Preferred Number of Shifts per Schedule value from the Preferred Number of Shifts per Schedule dropdown menu.

    The Preferred Number of Shifts per Schedule dropdown menu closes, and the selected Preferred Number of Shifts per Schedule appears in the Preferred Number of Shifts per Schedule field.

10. Select the Maximum Number of Shifts Allowed to Employees per Week:

NOTE: Note the distinction between Shifts per Week and Shifts per Schedule, caused when Schedules are not weekly cycles, for example, monthly Schedules.

  1. Scroll down the Job Percentage window to the Maximum Shifts per Week field.

  2. Select the arrow in the Maximum Shifts per Week field.

  3. Select the required Maximum Shifts per Week value from the Maximum Shifts per Week dropdown menu.

    The Maximum Shifts per Week dropdown menu closes, and the selected Maximum Shifts per Week that Employees can work appears in the Maximum Shifts per Week field.

11. Select the Minimum Number of Shifts Allowed to Employees per Week:
  1. Scroll down the Job Percentage window to the Minimum Shifts per Week field.

  2. Select the arrow in the Minimum Shifts per Week field.

  3. Select the required Minimum Shifts per Week value from the Minimum Shifts per Week dropdown menu.

    The Minimum Shifts per Week dropdown menu closes, and the selected Minimum Shifts per Week that Employees can work appears in the Minimum Shifts per Week field.

12. Select the Preferred Number of Shifts for Employees per Week:
  1. Scroll down the Job Percentage window to the Preferred Number of Shifts per Week field.

  2. Select the arrow in the Preferred Number of Shifts per Week field.

  3. Select the required Preferred Number of Shifts per Week value from the Preferred Number of Shifts per Week dropdown menu.

13. Enter the Minimum Amount of Hours per Schedule that Employees will work, in the Minimum Amount of Hours per Schedule field.

14. Enter the Maximum Amount of Hours per Schedule that Employees will work, in the Maximum Amount of Hours per Schedule field.

15. Enter the Minimum Amount of Hours per Week that Employees will work, in the Minimum Amount of Hours per Week field.

16. Enter the Maximum Amount of Hours per Week that Employees will work, in the Maximum Amount of Hours per Week field.

17. Select Save.

      The expanded Job Percentage window closes, and the configured Job Type appears in the Job Percentage window.

 NOTE: Changes to the New Employees Default Settingsoccur when configuring the Employment Classification field.

 NOTE: After configuring the Employment Classification field, select the Job Type for the New Employees when configuring their details in the Configuring Employees Details in the Positions and Skills Field window.
