Relaxing Rules

Rules can be relaxed in order to assign Employees, who cannot be assigned according to the configured Rules, to a Shift.

To relax Rules:

  1. Select the Search tab.

    The Rules to Consider pane contains the following fields:

    The radio buttons of the Basic and Special Rules that are configured, are checked.

  2. Uncheck a Rule from either Basic or Special Rules.

    NOTE: Uncheck the least important Rule according to the Organizations requirements.

    All Employees limited by the unchecked Rule are now released, and can be considered for the vacant Shift.

  3. Select the Results tab.

    The Results pane opens, displaying Employees available for the vacant Shift after removing the selected Rule.

  4. If no employees are displayed in the Results pane, select the Rules to Consider tab in order to return to the Results to Consider pane.

  5. Uncheck the next Rule from either Basic or Special Rules, according to the Organizations priority, and repeat the steps as mentioned in sections 2-5 above, until a list of Employees appears in the Results to Consider pane.

  6. Check the compatibility of Employees for the Shift:

  1. Next to each Employees name appears a Colored Box. Each color signifies a varying degree of Employee compatibility to the Shift according to the configured Rules:

  2. Employees Alerts. Next to each Employees name appears an Alert sign. Each Employee Alert is colored according to severity, Red the most severe Alert.

  3. Select the Employees Alerts next to their names.

    The Alert opens, defining the issue that the Employee has with the vacant Shift.

   7. Compare all Employees in order to select the most suitable Employee for the Vacant Shift.

   8. Drag-down and drop the selected Employee from the list of Employees in the Results pane into the vacant Shift.

       The Alert window opens, displaying the issues that the Employee has with the Vacant Shift.

    9. Select OK.
        The Alert window closes, and the selected Employee appears in the Shift.
