Employees can easily submit their work availability, according to the rules set by the scheduling manager. The app lets them indiciate specific working hours, and they can include a note to their manager.
After a work schedule is published, employees can view which shifts have not yet been filled, and register to work for them. Empty shifts can be filled automatically or by manager appoval only, according to the scheduling rules set by the manager.
Employees can search for others who might be available to trade shifts. They can send a request through the system, and when the other employee agrees, the request is automatically sent to the manager for final approval.
Employees can send time off requests directly from the EZShift app - they just have to indicate the type of request and relevant dates, and the request will immediately be sent to the scheduling manager for approval.
Employees can receive push notification reminders directly in the app. Reminders can be sent for a range of scenarios, such as one hour before a shift start, one day before the deadline for submitting work requests, and more - so everyone knows what's expected of them, and when.
The app has an internal messaging system for employees to communicate directly with each other and their managers. Managers can send messages to individual employees or create group messages for the whole team.
